Badrinath, located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, is one of the most sacred pilgrimage sites in Hinduism. The Badrinath Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu, is one of the four Char Dham pilgrimage sites and one of the 108 Divya Desams. Situated at an elevation of 3,133 meters along the banks of the Alaknanda River, the temple is flanked by the Nar and Narayan mountain ranges. The natural hot water spring 'Tapt Kund' near the temple is believed to have medicinal properties. The town also offers breathtaking views of Neelkanth Peak and serves as the gateway to Valley of Flowers and Hemkund Sahib.
